Student Financial Aid Deadline Dates

October 1, 2022: FAFSA Renewal Begins for 2023-2024

Earliest date to submit the 2023-2024 FAFSA document for processing. Studies and parents should use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) using their filed 2021 federal tax information.

January 25, 2023: MUSC 2023-2024 Loan Applications Available

Loan application(s) will be available to complete on our website for the 2023-2024 academic year.

February 28, 2023: Financial Aid Processing Begins

Financial Aid Staff begins to review and process forms for completed submissions for the 2023-2024 academic year.

March 1, 2023: Summer Start Priority Deadline

For students whose programs begin in Summer 2023, the priority deadline to have 2023-2024 FAFSA and loan request forms submitted to the MUSC Office of Student Financial Aid Office. Meeting the Priority Deadline ensures that your financial aid package will be processed in time for your Summer tuition payment due date. If you miss the priority deadline, submit your FAFSA as soon as possible. You will still be entitled to your full federal Direct Loan eligibility, but other campus-based funds (Work-Study, Health and Human Services Loans and certain Grants) may be depleted.

March 10, 2023 Summer Award Letters

Summer award letters will begin going out for the 2023-2024 academic year for those students with completed applications who are starting in Summer 2023.

May 1, 2023: Fall Start Priority Deadline

For students whose programs begin in Fall 2023, the priority deadline to have 2023-2024 FAFSA and loan request forms submitted to the MUSC Financial Aid Office.
