Office of the Provost

Lisa K. Saladin, PT, Ph.D., is the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. In this role, she serves as the chief academic officer of MUSC and is responsible to the President. She leads the university’s strategic planning and provides budgetary oversight for all academic units and support areas. She works closely with senior leadership to ensure that strategic initiatives and policies are aligned with the academic and research missions. In the absence of the President, the Provost acts as the Chief Executive Officer for the University.

In keeping with MUSC’s purpose to preserve and optimize human life in South Carolina through leading health innovation for the lives we touch, the Office of the Provost strives to maintain a campus that advances analysis, collaboration, innovation, and scientific discovery. While transformation and growth are rapidly occurring within the university, the Provost pledges to positively impact the lives of our students, faculty, and researchers.
