University Student Ambassadors

The University Student Ambassador Program is coordinated and managed by the Office of Student Engagement. It’s comprised of student leaders (Ambassadors) from across campus who display passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to the University. The program has a dual mission to create interprofessional experiences for MUSC students and serve the broader Charleston community through educational outreach opportunities.

Ambassadors have a genuine understanding of university-wide student programs and services and can effectively communicate how these services impact the MUSC student experience. Lastly, Ambassadors assist the University with achieving its diversity, community engagement, and strategic educational priorities.

University Student Ambassador Goals:

  • Create an atmosphere of enthusiasm about campus culture, co-curricular activities, and opportunities for leadership development.
  • Provide students and visitors with pertinent information about university-wide student services and programs and resources offered by the Office of Student Engagement.
  • Role model the values of the university and demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Facilitate pathway programs for K-12 and undergraduate college students.

Ambassador activities may include:

  • Volunteering for MUSC Welcome Week events
  • Facilitating campus visit experiences for K-12 schools, colleges, and individual visitors
  • Serving on student panels as needed
  • Participating in community outreach and educational pipeline initiatives
