Biography

Dusti L. Annan-Coultas, Ed.D., is the director of Operations for the Office of Interprofessional Initiatives (OII) and associate professor at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She provides strategic and operational leadership that advances interprofessional education, collaborative practice, and academic innovation across the university's colleges and programs.

 

Dr. Annan-Coultas brings extensive experience in instructional technology, distance education, and academic program development. Her work focuses on designing and scaling high-quality learning environments that strengthen collaboration among health professions students, faculty, and clinical partners. She has led initiatives that integrate educational technology, curriculum design, and faculty development to support innovative teaching and measurable learning outcomes.

 

In her role with the OII, Dr. Annan-Coultas guides program operations, assessment strategies, and cross-college coordination to ensure that interprofessional learning remains aligned with institutional priorities and national best practices. She partners with academic and health system leaders to enhance team-based education models that prepare graduates to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

 

Dr. Annan-Coultas earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Instructional Technology and Distance Education from Nova Southeastern University. Her scholarly and professional interests emphasize the design, implementation, and evaluation of collaborative learning systems that enhance educational quality, faculty practice, and health outcomes across academic health sciences environments.
