Biography
Mr. Matt Engelhardt, MSN, RN, CPN, NPD-BC is an Instructor in the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) College of Nursing. He teaches in the accelerated undergraduate nursing program with a focus on pediatric and foundational nursing. Mr. Engelhardt received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing, with a specialty in nursing education from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia. He practiced as a respiratory therapist for nearly a decade prior to becoming a professional nurse. Mr. Engelhardt has more than twenty-years of clinical experience primarily in pediatric perioperative care and clinical education. He taught at several universities and colleges across the country prior to calling Charleston home. Mr. Engelhardt’s areas of interest include caregiver education in the immediate post-operative setting and the mentoring relationship in nursing prelicensure education.
