Dr. Evenhouse was born in Charlotte, North Carolina where she lived until she moved to Austin, TX to attend the University of Texas at Austin. She graduated from UT-Austin Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Marine and Freshwater Biology. She worked for two years as a marine biologist in the Arctic Ocean before deciding to pursue a career as a physician.
Dr. Evenhouse attended the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) where she graduated in 2017. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society and served as the President of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at MUSC and is board certified in both specialties. After completion of her residency, she served as Internal Medicine Chief Resident before accepting a faculty position in the Division of General Internal Medicine. Dr. Evenhouse's clinical interests include obesity treatment, the treatment of young adult patients with childhood onset diseases and medical education.
Dr. Evenhouse lives on James Island with her husband, two children, her sheep dog and their backyard chickens.
