Biography

Dr. Brantlee Broome is an Assistant Professor in the MUSC College of Nursing.  She teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate programs.   She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Florida, where she was funded by an American Nurses Foundation Nursing Research Grant for her doctoral studies in management of childhood food allergies.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clemson University, and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Jacksonville University. 
 
Dr. Broome’s research interests include management of childhood chronic illness, specifically anaphylactic food allergies.  She currently serves on the Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) Outcomes Research Advisory Board which seeks to address an unmet need in the research field by developing a partnership of patients empowered to work with other key stakeholders to develop a robust patient-centric food allergy research program informed by real-world experiences.
 
Dr. Broome is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, Southern Nursing Research Society, Florida Nurses Association, and the American Nurses Association.
