Biography
Dr. Rebeca Castellanos received her Ph.D. in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of South Carolina. She was born and raised in El Salvador, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Universidad Centroamericana " José Simeón Cañas." Dr. Castellanos completed her clinical internship at the Charleston Consortium and her postdoctoral training in Clinical Health Psychology with the Division of Bio-Behavioral Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. Her areas of professional interest include cultural adaptations of interventions, mindfulness-based interventions, Latinx mental health, and health disparities. She is passionate about providing evidence-based services and interventions to patients undergoing solid organ transplant, patients living with cancer, and/or living with chronic health conditions. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, baking, reading, and spending time with her family.
