Biography
Dr. Haque is an Associate Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and a member of the Cancer Immunology Program at Hollings Cancer Center at MUSC. He is also a VA Research Scientist at Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. Research interests include inflammation, immunity, neurodegeneration, and cancer. Dr. Haque’s expertise is tapped by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Veterans Administration (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), Leukemia & lymphoma Society (LLS), Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), Florida Department of Health, and MUSC for grant reviews. He serves as a reviewer for Journal of Immunology, Journal of Cellular Biochemistry, Journal of Neuroimmunology, Arthritis Research and Therapy, Circulation, Immunology, Cellular Immunology and Differentiation, Neurotrauma and Scientific Reports to name a few. He also serves as an Editorial Board Member for Neurochemical Research, Metabolic Brain Disease, and Journal of Clinical & Cellular Immunology. Dr. Haque’s work is supported by the NIH/NCI/NINDS, VA, DoD, LLS, ACS, ALA, and SCIRF, and has resulted in dozens of peer-reviewed publications.
