Biography

Dr. Joel Sirianni is a board certified anesthesiologist at MUSC.  Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Sirianni moved to Charleston where he completed his anesthesiology residency at MUSC.  He is the associate residency program director of MUSC's anesthesiology residency program.  Dr. Sirianni specializes in liver transplant anesthesia and obstetric anesthesia while also safely manages patients undergoing inpatient and outpatient procedures not limited to neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, and ambulatory surgery.  His research interests include resident education and simulation, liver transplantation, obstetric anesthesia, geriatrics, and quality improvement.  Dr. Sirianni completed his undergraduate degree at Penn State University in Immunology & Infectious Disease and medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine.
