Student complaints or concerns including, but not limited to:

  • Violation of law, regulation, institutional policies, or ethical standards
  • Fraud, financial misconduct, or misuse of university resources
  • Academic misrepresentation or integrity concerns
  • Research misconduct or unethical research practices
  • Privacy violations (HIPAA, FERPA, PII)
  • Data breaches or cybersecurity concerns
  • Violations of recruitment, credentialing, or immigration requirements 
  • Accreditation violations
  • Retaliation

The college procedure may be used for students to submit complaints on matters related to legal, regulatory, policy compliance, fraud, waste, and/or abuse.

The student has the option of filing a report/complaint regarding any activity reasonably believed in violation of any law or regulation, any MUSC policy, or any Federal or State Healthcare requirement by means of the Confidential Hotline: 800-296-0269 (toll free, available 24 hours, 7 days a week).
