Discover MUSC

Discover MUSC is a dynamic, daylong career exploration event that introduces Charleston-area students to the diverse opportunities available in healthcare. Designed to inspire the next generation of health professionals, the program engages students from Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester County 2 school districts through interactive panels, hands-on learning, and a career booth fair highlighting MUSC’s colleges and career pathways. Established in partnership with the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Health Professions Career Academy, Discover MUSC launched in March 2016 and is led by the MUSC Office of Student Engagement and the Division of Education Innovation and Student Life, with ongoing support from faculty and staff across the university.

The day includes a career booth information fair that highlights the different colleges and professional opportunities available at MUSC, a lunch and professional panel presentation MUSC's student leaders.

Discover MUSC 2026 will be held on Wednesday, February 25 and Thursday, February 26, 2026 on the MUSC campus. Please review the event details below for more information.

High School Sessions

  • Wednesday, February 25, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 25, 9:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 26, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 26, 9:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Schools will be limited in participants and assignments will be made on a first come, first served basis. To register your class, please use the link below.

Discover MUSC 2025 Class Registration

Thank you for your interest in Discover MUSC 2026. Please fill out the following registration form to begin your reservation. Reminder, your registration is not complete until you receive a confirmation email from the Office of Student Engagement.

Please note, all Charleston County School District schools confirmed by MUSC to participate have pre-approved transportation funding support. CCSD educators should use the Field Trip Toolkit via this link to request their funding support: https://charlestonempowered.com/structured-field-study/

Career Booth Registration

MUSC departments across the enterprise are invited to host a booth during the Discover MUSC Career Fair on Wednesday, February 25 and Thursday, February 26, 2026.

Participating departments will need to have their tables ready by 8:45 a.m. and be available from 9:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on each day of the event.

Wednesday, February 25

Volunteer Registration

Thank you for your interest in Discover MUSC 2026.

The Office of Student Engagement is recruiting volunteers for the return of Discover MUSC (February 25 and February 26) - a two-day immersive, educational experience for local high school students. During their visit, students will learn about our various academic programs, clinical departments, and administrative units by attending information sessions, lunch panels, and a career fair. This event is not possible without our volunteers! If you are interested in assisting with Discover MUSC, please complete the form below.
