Financial Opportunities

Graduate Incentive Award
The award is funded by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education, and provide forgivable loans to African American, Hispanic American, and Native American, full-time students in masters, first professional, and doctoral programs. The eligible student must be a U.S. citizen and remain in good academic standing while receiving the award. A recipient agrees that upon completion of his/her educational programs at MUSC he/she will maintain residence and employment in South Carolina for one calendar year for each $5,000 or portion thereof awarded. The amount of the award is based upon funding and may vary from semester-to-semester.

Emergency Student Loan and Scholarship Program
Funded through the Health Sciences Foundation from an endowment, loans, and scholarships are provided for emergency expenses and any unexpected student crisis. This funding is limited and dispersed at the discretion of the Executive Director of Student Engagement. Students are required to provide documentation for funding support. Every student emergency will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
