The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Center for Global Health welcomes you to the 2026 Global Health Week! Scheduled to commence the week of Monday, April 6, 2026, the annual, week-long celebration and promotion of global health includes an collection of presentations, health expert panels and/or cultural demonstrations and workshops. Call for Abstracts - Poster Presentation Session

The Center for Global Health is seeking poster submissions for the Global Health Week Poster Presentation Session on April 10.

This year’s poster session will feature the work of MUSC students, residents, fellows, and/or post-docs who are engaged in global health related research, clinical, service, and educational projects. Featured abstracts will include work such as research, program evaluation, public health, clinical care and more completed by MUSC representatives in the United States and abroad. Abstracts are welcome in all areas of global health. Continue reading below to learn more about the abstract guidelines.

  • Abstract submission deadline: 8 p.m. EDT on March 22
  • Abstract acceptance notification: March 27

Presenters will be eligible for a Judges’ Outstanding Poster Award and an Audience Favorite Award.

Healthcare Across Cultures Panel on April 8

The Center is pleased to invite you to attend this year's Global Health Week panel discussion, Healthcare Across Cultures.

‌Scheduled to take place 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, in Basic Science Building, Room BS 302, the panel will feature voices of three MUSC professionals hailing for various countries around the world sharing their experiences of delivering healthcare and conducting research in the U.S. and abroad. We will also be live streaming the panel to an online audience as well.
