Imagine exploring your interest in Health care while giving back to a community in need. MUSC Gives Back provides assistance in selecting, organizing and implementing student community volunteer opportunities.
Ready to volunteer?
Check out “The Classifieds,” the Want Ads for Student Volunteers for events and details, or search the on-line volunteer database (Net ID required) of community opportunities exclusively selected that supports the MUSC Gives Back program's mission. For more information, check out our Volunteer FAQ's.
Report Your Hours:
Submit your volunteer hours using our individual or group report forms (see links in additional notes below for these two forms that will need to be migrated) and we’ll keep track of your service hours. Email us when you need a record of your service hours – please allow a minimum of three business days to process your request.
Request volunteers for your event or organization.
Each year, we recognize students and organizations for their service to the community. Nomination forms for the following awards are available online in early January.
The MUSC Gives Back Community Volunteer Award for Student Organizations
One group from each college and one university-wide group will be selected annually for their voluntary contributions to the Tri-county community.
The MUSC Gives Back Community Volunteer Award for Individual Students
One student is recognized in each of the six colleges for the highest number of service hours reported during the current academic year. (No application required)
The Charles H. Banov Award
The Charles Banov MD Humanitarian Award recognizes a MUSC student who has made a significant contribution locally or abroad by volunteering their time to achieve unmet community needs. A one‐thousand dollar award accompanies this distinction.
