Deans Council

The Deans Council serves as a central advisory body to the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost and comprises academic leadership from across the institution's six colleges. Charged with guiding MUSC's academic mission, the Council provides a collaborative forum for advancing strategic priorities in education, research, and innovation. The Council ensures a unified academic voice in institutional decision-making while promoting cross-college collaboration that strengthens MUSC's academic enterprise.

What We Do

The Deans Council supports the Provost by engaging in targeted discussions on strategic planning and matters related to both their individual colleges and the university at large. This approach fosters cross-college collaboration and sharing of best practices.

Meeting regularly, the Council plays a pivotal role in ensuring that academic operations are aligned with institutional goals and responsive to the evolving landscape of health sciences education.
