Dean DuBois

Dear alumni,

We hope this e-newsletter finds you well. In these extraordinary times, we especially look for connectivity and the comfort of familiar things.  In the College of Medicine, we are profoundly thankful for the ongoing support and involvement we experience with our alumni.

This issue of our e-newsletter features a story about how we welcomed our incoming class this year – including giving them those important items funded by our alumni. While we missed having many of you present for the first week activities, you were definitely there in spirit, and the students are very thankful.

You’ll also read about several new scholarship efforts to support our medical students, along with some of the donors who are making this happen.  As undergraduate and graduate debt for students continues to rise and we work to keep tuition down, the need for scholarships to support our students is greater than ever. We are profoundly grateful to our alumni for your ongoing support of our students through financial giving to scholarships. Equipping the next generation of physicians is more important than ever, and we could not do this without your support.

Thank you. MUSC continues its place as the state’s flagship medical institution due in many ways to your support and involvement.

Sincerely,

Raymond N. DuBois, M.D., Ph.D.

Dean, MUSC College of Medicine
