Health Professions

Damond Boatwright, MHA ’97, was recently named to a list of Black Healthcare Leaders to Know by Becker’s Hospital Review.

Tricia Howard, PA-C ’97, has recently been appointed vice president of advance practice services at ExperCARE. Additionally, she is pursuing a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) at Northern Arizona University.

Nekita J. Sullivan, DPT ’11, opened Yoga Therapy Bar, a physical therapy, yoga, Pilates and wellness studio in Clemson, South Carolina.

Medicine

Melinda Edwards, M.D. ’97, founded Living Darshan, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to foster a deeper understanding of autism in the world. She also authored Psyche & Spirit: How a Psychiatrist Found Divinity Through Her Lifelong Quest for Truth and Her Daughter's Autism.

Nursing

Mary Gwyn, BSN ’78, volunteered at the Barrier Island Free Medical Clinic in Johns Island as a part of her public health nursing rotation.

Brenda Haile, R.N. ’67, retired from the MUSC Department of Internal Medicine.

Pharmacy

Joe Paladina, Pharm. D. ’82, retired as professor emeritus from the University of Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He also had a manuscript published in a recent issue of The American Journal of Managed Care.
