  9. Learn about topics relevant to YOU
  10. Earn six continuing education credits for topics you really care about. Symposium sessions are all topics suggested by our alumni, for our alumni. Last year, we asked you what you most want to learn about and we took your ideas to heart in planning this year’s event. Cancer survivorship, AI and the opioid epidemic were at the top of the list. See the full schedule.

Last year’s Symposium brought alumni to their feet for standing ovations more than once.

And to make it even more personal to alumni, all Symposium speakers have a deep connection to MUSC. Most are alumni themselves, and some work here. So, not only will you be getting insights into the topics you asked for, you’ll also be getting an inside look at how we’re applying those concepts at MUSC. (So, get ready to brag on your alma mater!)

  11. Celebrate your class reunion
  12. Group of 6 smiling people dressed in casual clothes and wearing name tag lanyards stand together with their arms around each other
Classes from graduation years ending in 5 and 0 will have the opportunity to connect for milestone reunions, including the Golden Grad Reunion celebrating those who graduated 50 years or earlier.

This year, we’re thrilled to include the Golden Graduates reunion as part of our Alumni Weekend festivities! Each year, we welcome back alumni who graduated 50 years ago – or earlier – for this special celebration. This year, their reunion will be intertwined with the excitement of the full Alumni Weekend experience.

When you see an alum wearing the iconic golden medallion, take a moment to strike up a conversation and ask them about their journey – what was life was like at MUSC five decades ago? Their stories are bound to inspire and connect generations of alumni.

Of course, there will be class reunions for all alumni celebrating a milestone year, too. Make sure to check the schedule to see what your class is planning!

  13. Enjoy Charleston
  14. One of the biggest highlights of Alumni Weekend is the chance to visit Charleston, one of the world’s most beautiful cities. The festivities kick off with the opening ceremony on the Sunset Terrace of the Harbour Club, where you can take in breathtaking views of the Charleston Harbor and the Ashley River. It’s the perfect setting to start your weekend.

As you explore campus in the heart of downtown Charleston, take note of the exciting changes –new buildings underway for the College of Medicine and the College of Health Professions, along with impressive renovations for the College of Nursing. Campus is evolving, and it’s a perfect reflection of both MUSC’s growth and the city’s ongoing transformation.

    Still haven’t bought your ticket?

If those aren’t enough reason for you to attend, ask yourself this:
