Ted McGill 

Class of 1975 alumnus Ted McGill, D.D.S., was recently conferred with the title of professor emeritus, effective to his retirement in July of 2019. McGill served a 17-year tenure with the college, spanning the Departments of Stomatology and Oral Rehabilitation. A beloved professor, McGill made a lasting impact on nearly two decades of students.

He joins twelve emeritus faculty members of the College of Dental Medicine, each of whom have contributed distinguished service to the Medical University of South Carolina.

Fabio Rizzante 

Fabio Rizzante, D.D.S., Ph.D., joins the Department of Oral Rehabilitation, Division of Digital Dentistry as an associate professor. He will also serve as the department’s director of research.

Rizzante comes to MUSC from Case Western Reserve University. He received his D.D.S., MSC in Operative Dentistry and Ph.D. in Restorative Dentistry from the Bauru School of Dentistry, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Angela Yoon 

Dr. Angela J. Yoon joins the Department of Stomatology as the Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Dr. Yoon will also join the multidisciplinary team at MUSC’s Hollings Cancer Center. She will expand her biomarkers research, which includes offering a clinical trial she previously led at Columbia University, where she served as division director.

Hannah Rustin 

Alumna Hannah Rustin, D.M.D., has been appointed program director of the pediatric dentistry residency program. With this appointment, Rustin becomes a full-time faculty member.

Previously, she instructed undergraduate and graduate students as a part-time faculty member. She earned her MSD and pediatric specialty certification from Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, after graduating from MUSC.
