On behalf of the Alumni Association, we want you to know that we continue to be overwhelmed with stories of our alumni, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are so proud of each of you for your part in caring for others. Your health and well-being continue to be at the top of our priority. Please continue to visit our online resources for COVID-19 updates from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).

Dr. Satish Nadig, College of Medicine ’03, College of Graduate Studies ’15, joined our alumni on Sept. 8 to present a virtual lunch and learn webinar about his work as a leading immunology researcher at MUSC. Stay tuned for our October alumni webinar with Dr. Paula Traktman, dean of the College of Graduate Studies.

Please enjoy the article celebrating the legacies of medical alumni Dr. Susan Haskin, Dr. Stewart Haskin, and their daughter, Dr. Bennett Haskin Teal. MUSC is blessed to have so many “legacy families” among our alumni – including one with seven generations of MUSC graduates! What a special honor to be able to celebrate one’s graduation with parents, grandparents and even great-grandparents who also went to MUSC.

Again, we thank you for keeping in touch, for sending updates on you and your families, and for sharing ideas with our team. With so much information coming your way these days, we have decided to transition our monthly e-newsletter to a quarterly schedule, but we will continue to send updates on alumni events to everyone. We are always here to assist and look forward to the days where we can see each other again.

Stay well! We will get through this together!
