The Center for Advancement, Recruitment, and Retention of Women (ARROW) is dedicated to strengthening career pathways in academic medicine, healthcare, and biomedical sciences. Through mentorship, leadership training, and career development programs, ARROW equips faculty and trainees at MUSC with the tools needed to achieve their professional goals.

ARROW is open to all faculty and trainees at MUSC who are invested in advancing professional opportunities for women in medicine and science. Participation is not limited by gender. Anyone who values mentorship, leadership development, and career growth is encouraged to take part.

Opening Doors: Women at MUSC

This exhibit highlights the groundbreaking contributions of women in medicine, science, and healthcare. From the acceptance of the first female students in 1895 to the appointment of MUSC’s first female Dean of the College of Medicine in 2010, women have played a pivotal role in shaping the university’s history.
