ARROW Short-Term Teleconferencing Support

ARROW will provide an iPad loaded with the HIPAA compliant Cisco Jabber Video Client as well as Adobe Connect software for a faculty member to check out and take with them during leave. This will allow the member on leave to hold/attend faculty meetings, lab meetings, student presentations/defenses, or other conferences being held on campus. The teleconferencing equipment is currently available to all women faculty.

Qualifying events for use of the equipment include:

  • Maternity leave
  • Medical leave
  • Annual leave
  • Administrative/Professional leave
  • Sabbatical

*Note: The Center for ARROW does not promote or encourage individuals to work while on leave. The use of this equipment is provided to allow women faculty to remain connected to their laboratory, students, staff, etc. if needed and if they choose to do so without the need to be physically present on campus.

When possible, we ask that you request the equipment at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance of your leave to allow for appropriate arrangements to be made.

While we understand that incidents happen, we hope that you will return the products to us in the same condition in which they were issued. This will ensure the Teleconferencing Program can continue to help other women faculty in need.

In order to evaluate our program, you will be required to complete a brief satisfaction survey when returning the equipment.
